PROCESS REDESIGN
Using evidence to simplify a legacy process
Cloud migration raised the prospect of substantial redevelopment of a legacy store-appeals workflow. I questioned whether rebuilding it was justified and worked with the validations team and retail leadership to review 18 months of weekly evidence.

Weekly validation decisions analysed
Removal decisions that stood, not a tested accuracy rate
My contribution
Approximately 1,000 transactions were removed each week, and about 99% of removal decisions stood. The analysis helped secure agreement to automate adjustments while retaining regular audits and a correction route.
What followed
I incorporated the revised process into GCP. The validations team retained audit ownership; the platform applied exclusions and recorded reinstatements. This removed recurring store appeals administration and avoided rebuilding the old workflow.
